Founder & Managing Director

Essi Sadeghi is the Founder and Managing Director of WGSD Capital, LLC, a strategic advisory and venture platform focused on capital structuring, execution, and turnaround strategy. She partners with institutions and founders to structure transactions that close—bringing deep experience, sharp judgment, and a results-driven approach to every deal.

With over two decades in institutional investing, private markets, and capital advisory, Essi operates at the intersection of finance, strategy, and execution. She has led and advised on complex transactions across early-stage venture, growth capital, and special situations, consistently unlocking value where others see risk.

Essi previously invested personally in a renewable energy venture at inception, gaining firsthand exposure to the capital intensity, regulatory complexity, and operational risk inherent in infrastructure-heavy sectors. That experience sharpened her focus on structuring resilient, execution-ready deals—a hallmark of her work at WGSD Capital.

Before founding WGSD Capital, she held progressively senior roles at T. Rowe Price, Fidelity Investments, Marsh McLennan, Lockton International, and Deloitte. She is a CFA® charterholder and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses.

Outside of work, Essi stays active as an ultramarathoner and finds daily inspiration in raising her three beautiful children.
